• 100 g butter, melted
  • 80 g sugar
  • 250 g digestive biscuits, crushed
  • For the toffee:
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
  • For the toppings:
  • 4 small bananas
  • 300 ml whipping cream
  • 50 g sugar
  • cocoa powder or grated chocolate for dusting

Put the biscuit crumbs in a bowl, then add the melted butter and sugar, mix it all together. Spoon this into the base and press against the bottom and sides – this is the base. Chill it for ten minutes.
Put UNOPENED can of sweetened condensed milk in a pot and add water until can is completely covered with the water. Boil this can for about 3 hours (more if you prefer a darker toffee) Make sure the can is covered with water at any time while boiling.
Let cool, then open and you should have a wonderful toffee.
Peel and slice bananas, then add to biscuit base. Spread toffee all over the bananas.
Whip cream and sugar until light and slightly stiff, then spread also over toffee and bananas. Dust with grated chocolate or cocoa powder.
Let rest for 30 minutes and serve.
Delicious.
